Tales of those with tails... or without (shoutout to my Manx cat who has a lil nub instead) š¹
One thing about my husband Rhett and I is that we have such a heart for animals and rescue organizations. Even before we went on this global backpacking trip, you may have seen that we would regularly surprise each other by bringing home random foster animals. This caused us to be known on many occasions online and be a revolving door for fosters. Check out one of our Dodo Features here!
When we decided to do this crazy dream of selling everything, packing up our backpacks and leaving the US we knew that deep in our hearts we still had a passion for animal rescue. We got to thinking of how we could still have our hearts involved in animal rescuing world, and then it came to us...lets combine our passion of storytelling and content creation to share the stories of amazing animal rescuers AROUND THE WORLD! šŗļø

⨠A Little Backstory āØ
One thing about me is that when I was a young Lenny watching Steve Irwin educate us on all the beautiful creatures of this world, I was instantly filled with aspiration. In that moment, I dreamed of being in Australia one day observing such beautiful creatures. It is full circle typing this as I find myself on the other side of the world, writing a blog about the beautiful creatures I have just been able to witness these past few months, including the long awaited Australian wildlife and oh so much more.
But I didn't want this journey to just be about me. I wanted to bring along others that may not have the chance to experience this first hand. I wanted to bring the wildlife to the world in an authentic, down-to-earth way. We aren't over here staying in luxury safaris - we are trekking in the jungle with locals to see and observe what they see. We are visiting small local animal rescues and wildlife rehabs to share their stories to people on the other side of the world. There are so many people doing amazing things for the wildlife community, but don't have the media attention that others do from big donors and corporations.

That doesn't mean the work they are doing isn't important. If anything, their stories are the ones that need to be told. They are the boots on the ground - volunteers who show up every day to care for those that don't have a voice, the ones who don't take sick days because they are the caretakers of injured animals that need their protector. These are the stories at the heart of TGA.
As we traverse this beautiful world we will try our best to bring you the most authentic and uplifting stories, but WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We would love to hear from you. If you or someone you know has an animal rescue, wildlife conservation, rehabilitation organization, or content creator that they are impressed with and want to see highlighted on TGA Tails, please let us know. We know there are so many organizations that deserve to be highlighted that we haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet. So please click the button below and nominate today!
